Professional Hairstyles for Long Hair: 10 Coiffures to Follow
Consider this a long bob, with the parting at the side for maximum elegance. Stylist Daisy went all out giving this chic lady a proper look for the boardrooms. I love this professional hairstyle!
The haircut is a long angled bob with no layers. I would like to tell them it is a popular hairstyle, and it is easy for maintaining and managing. You can wear it for occasions or casually. I like the way my models natural color has been enhanced by the cut on back and sides and the lightening on top gives the cut some texture. Most hair types can go short like this but the style will need to be altered by the stylist to sit in this shape.
Short hair is easy to style and fun, and it should represent your personal style and personality. Maintenance will be every weeks. This a look with natural long hair. A fishtail braid. I love a fishtail braid because it is casual but you did the effort of making a pretty hair look! And you can make it as nonchalant and big as you want! Oh, and the hair color comes out great in this braid! Use a hair product that makes your hair a little rough. In the end, you should pull out the braid to make it big!
You can use hair extensions to make the braid bigger. This color falls into a lived-in blonde look. By adding babylights and a smudged base it has a more diffused contrast between the base and the blonde, which creates a natural sun-kissed effect. To give it movement and volume, I added soft surface layers for her fine texture, completing the undone look with beach waves.
I love this look become it really fits any face shape. This blonde is a great fit for any type, but ideally, I would see what blondes work best with your skin tone.
As for maintenance, coming in for glosses to keep the blonde looking fresh, and going no more than 3 months between blonding sessions. I also always recommend having a hair regimen. Finish this style by adding sea salt spray or texture spray to give it that undone beachy look. This takes about min to curl.
Wonderful for any lifestyle. The French braid adds a sense of style and satisfaction. In this case we were going for a look that will last for a few days, however, it can be easily converted into a romantic, boho hairstyle.
The twisted bun shows off the highlights beautifully and the braid creates texture and detail. I would recommend this hairstyle on anyone with at least shoulder-length hair. In this case, I used an olive oil edge control gel that you can get from your local drugstore. The beauty of it is that it picks up all the hair, gives it incredible hold without going hard and flaky. Finish the style with a strong hold hairspray.
For more loose, boho look replace the gel with a texturizing spray that will give you grip, hold, and texture to achieve the perfect style. The big trend in hair right now is lob haircut. Spray the brush with some hairspray for a hold before brushing. As for the color, I hand painted her hair for that subtle with a pop of brightness. This look is my go-to haircut when a client wants a change. It can be worn with any face shape. Low maintenance with little to no styling is involved.
The product I choose for this look was Iles Formula Serum. I would describe this look as a long blunt bob or lob. You can wear it sleek and straight to show off the sharp blunt cut, or in tousled waves for a softer look. You also still have a bit of length to put it up in a nice updo for an evening out.
To create this tousled wave look, I recommend Catwalk Bodifying Spray for volume and hold. Use it on wet hair with a bit of blowout balm. Then use Catwalk Haute Iron Spray for heat protection while using the irons. Once curled with the irons, use a bit of Catwalk Texturizing Salt Spray to add texture and definition to the waves.
This look is best suited for hair that is fine to medium. The softly grown out fringe frames the face nicely. This style would be perfect for a busy working lady or busy mom as you can tie it up and out the way during the day and still style it nicely for an evening out or weekend.
Really let your hair down! I would call this a longer version of a lob haircut. It can be worn at many different lengths and can still be pulled back into a ponytail. The slight drop in the front gives it that little bit of interest.
It helps to detangle and add a thermal protectant that is light enough to layer and cocktail with other products. The smaller the barrel, the more curl. I wanted just a little bend. Finish with Big Sexy Spray and Play hairspray. This style can really work for a variety of women.
The subtle layers make it an easy style that can be curled, worn straight, or a messy bedhead look, which is my personal favorite. The longer angle in the front is sleek and can be worn on any face shape if styled correctly. A good style lesson is just as important as your cut. This look brings you both luxury and personality. She is a manager, but she does have a rebellious personality. I like this style because when she first came to my salon with medium hair she wanted a short cut, but all previous hairstylists had said it was impossible to cut her hair since it was thick and coarse and her face was so big.
I created this hairstyle for her using a combination of thr round layers with concave technique and disconnection to reduce all weight, make rounder for her head, and have less hair. I also used a deep point cutting and slicing technique after the blow dry, helping it to be softer with more movement. You can use Mirage Oil of Delcolore Italy after a dry blow. When you go to a party, you can use wax or Volume Creator by Davines on top.
This look is for those who you can cut for medium or thick hair. For thin hair, you can also cut, but change the technique on top. This look fits a round face or a large jawline. This look is for women who have a personality, but still looks soft and suitable for both office working and partying.
I would describe this look as your classic bob, but modernized. Bobs are my favorite style of haircuts because they are timeless and super versatile. You can wear it professionally or add wave for a bit of sass. The thing I love most about this particular cut is the invisible layering done in the interior of the cut. It allows for easy maintenance and grow out, but also gives the hair a smooth finished look.
I also added soft texture throughout the cut which will allow maximum movement and the hair will feel light and airy to the client. I used all Kevin Murphy products for this look. Again line is perfect for this look because it not only protects from frizz and humidity, but it adds shine and cuts down on blow dry time as well.
It is lightweight, so it is okay to use on fine hair as well. I prepped the hair with Shimmer. Shine which is magic in a bottle and added the Smooth. Again creme to her hairline and the ends of her hair. To emphasize the texture, one can also use Bedroom. Hair or Doo. I recommend this cut for clients with fine to medium textured hair. I feel that anyone can rock this bob, you just have to tweak it to that specific person. If you have more of a round face, I would leave a little bit more of the length to help contour the jawline.
This particular look is great with volumizing styling products like Imperial Blowout from Oribe to give the root fullness and help those layers reach their full potential. A 90s mod princess is born! They are also perfect on heart shaped faces. When adding a long asymmetric fringe, it perfectly draws attention away from a wider forehead and toward the eyes and softer features like the nose and chin. Pixies are very youthful in the way they expose and frame slender necks and can be super dramatic just by switching up a part or product regimen.
They can be super texturized for someone that has straight to wavy hair who likes to spray, scrunch and go, or can also be very structured for someone with any hair type to give off a bold, strong look.
