Girl Meets World is one of the few shows on the Disney Channel that both adults girl lucas can enjoy. Not that girl aren't multiple ones, honestly, but because Girl Meets World is the only one that features characters from a television show that might be considered "before this generation's time. One such emotional nuance is the love dating that has developed between best friends Riley Matthews, Maya Hart, and Dating boy Lucas Friar. Season 1 of the show built Lucas up as being Riley's Topanga, her first girl and eventual one true love that she would spend the series developing a relationship with lucas like her parents, The Matthews and Topanga Lawrence, did in the prequel series.

Parents say 44 Kids say Teen, 13 years old Written by MinakoHouraisan October 17, It's not too bad!

I don't really get the hate, I haven't really got a problem with it, well I do, but it's not bad. Yes the acting isn't amazing and it's cheesy, but I still personally like this show, I prefer other Disney shows though. This review Helped me decide. Had useful details 1. Read my mind 1. Report this review. Kid, 11 years old July 28, Great Messages Pretty much every single episode is about a life lesson that is appropriate for the 14 year old girl who stars in it.

I think it is a great show to show younger girls what will be happening in the real world. I enjoy watching this show with all my friends. This title contains: Positive Messages. Teen, 14 years old Written by Userof2k15 July 12, Terrible, cheesy worthless messages The problems with this show is that it's corny, terribly written, not to mention the acting is tremendously and absolutely fake, and the messages won't really help anything or teach anyone at all. In my opinion, I just think this show shouldn't really exist.

I mean, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but personally for me I really dislike it. This show teaches nothing to children, preteens specifically middle schoolers or older teenagers.

The messages don't really focus on anything that has to do with the 'real world' at all, in fact what I've picked up on this show is that the message and lessons they're trying to teach is unbelievably cheesy, it always end with everyone being happy when in fact the real world does NOT work like that at all.

This show needs to put some realistic things and scenarios in there as well. And my experience with middle school is no where near of what this show is displaying. The messages here are overall silly and cheesy, Riley can't always fix everything and everything won't just turn out fine in the end just because you did the right thing. Maya or however you spell her name can't just get all angry and rebellious just because she failed a test.

Yes, from my middle school everyone dates whoever they want, but they don't have to flirt so much or just obsesse over boys all the time. I'll be truly honest here, for my age I've probably dated more guys than even an average grown up woman can, but this GMW thinks that what all middle school is is that it's all about the romance, when in fact it's not.

You like that kid? You're dating him? And that's about it, but they make dating such a big deal here. But my biggest pet peeve of this show is how unrealistic the plot is and the extremely cheesy and pointless messages.

It's just a big eye roller once you here it. Everything doesn't turn out happy at the end, the show has to at the very least show that, and they have to write the scripts better to create realistic scenarios and dialogue. I know some people will be like,"But this show will tell a kid all the right things to do! In no way this type of advise will be helpful to any of us.

Not everything is about boys, being overly dramatic about anything, or flirting. Not everything is always fine and dandy in the end of every situation. Aside from the terrible, utter garbage they call messages they put out from the show, GMW has a huge lack of humour and personality, this show is not funny at all and their acting just looks so forced.

And let's talk about the parents And when something happens the Mum and Dad always let the situation pass and give advise to the two main characters and always think whatever they said would help them. I just think they aren't good parents from what I'm seeing in the show so far. Tsk tsk, I laugh at that. But overall Girl Meets World is utter and complete garbage and its a show that's a complete waste of your time.

Everything here is just a huge eye roller, I utterly hate this show, I wouldn't recommend it or spend my time watching at all. But this is all my opinions of what the show needs improvement on and how much I dislike it. Yea I only ranted about a tiny bit of things but these are the things that mostly ticks me off with this show :T.

Teen, 13 years old Written by splashblob June 29, It's a good show for many people, just not everybody. Please read the full review before you assume for you and your family - As a Boy Meets World fan, I was excited when I heard of the spin-off series. We all know that sequels of things for the most part aren't exactly the best. Girl Meets World is in that case, but its a great show, but like every good shows, there are flaws. Riley the Cory of GMW has a tendency to over react a fair amount, but she's still a likable character.

Good because it teaches children to strive for things in life whether it's possessions or friendships. But bad because Maya's over-confident may rub off on some children. Lucas, the Topanga of GMW , in my opinion, doesn't really get enough attention, and is used as more of a major supporting character. I like Lucas though, he's a handsome and well behaved young man, and like any teen, he's got his own set of flaws. Recently, there was an episode of GMW where Shawn for those who don't watch the show, Cory and Topanga are Riley and Auggie's parents, and Shawn makes regular appearances in Season 2 and late Season 1.

Other BMW stars make appearances, but guest star ones. Maya started to cry in joy and said that no one ever cared enough for her to tell her, and she did. I was surprised, knowing Maya's confident character and how she just changed in a snap. I just didn't like it. Also, most of the episode plots are very similar to most BMW episodes, which I have no problem with, but if this is a new spin-off, I think Disney should come up with some new plots.

That's their opinion, I think you should try a few episodes for yourself. Girl Meets World does have its positives and negatives. I listed all my negatives, now let's focus on the positives.

Riley may seem like she has the perfect life, but if you pay attention, you'll know Riley is insecure. Riley does struggle with things teenage girls go through such as body image, peer pressure, judgement, watching her friends get bullied Which makes her very relatable. Maya has a troubled past, she's had a bad past, a bad family experience, and is a good friend.

I like how the Matthews family treats Maya like one of their own, because they know of her past. People complain about Riley and Maya being inseparable, but you gotta remember, Maya's mother Katy is very busy and her father has started another family, so she's lonely. Wouldn't you be lonely without family? Riley or her one of her friends and possibly all of them are usually in a problem and Mr.

Matthews Cory teaches the kids a lesson that usually has to do with what they are going through, The kids embark on a journey and solve the problem. I find it interesting how the writers can find a historical event that relates to middle school problems. But again, not every show is perfect. This could be this generations Boy Meets World. Keep in mind the first two seasons of BMW were cheesy, but that's because Cory Matthews and his friends were in sixth and seventh grade, and then they got into teen situations.

This could be the case for Girl Meets World, we never know. You should give it a try if you haven't already. I personally like it a lot. Positive role models. Teen, 13 years old Written by amandathepiedpiper January 3, But I think the most recent episode, Girl Meets Home for the Holidays, was an excellent jumping-off point. As for the girls not acting their age, I disagree. I'm in the seventh grade, and teens really do act this way.

Thirteen-year-old girls have crushes, and sometimes "date" which really means that two people like each other, make it clear to one another, maybe send each other gifts, talk during lunch, and text from home. I wear a little makeup and wear heels for middle school dances, which actually DO exist. On the show, it's very mild and innocent.
