The CW musical dramedy ended its four-season run Friday night and set up a new chapter in the story of its titular heroine, Rebecca Bunch. Along the way, it tackled issues of female sexuality, skewed romantic expectations, female agency and mental health. Cue the music. Every time I watch that last scene I start to cry.

This book will make you cry, piss you off, inspire you, and hopefully make you aware of the spirit of lust that has destroyed so many lives. I pray that this book helps capture the lives of those that are affected because of decisions made when lust takes control! Gary W. One more thing

Over four seasons and more than songs, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has parodied nearly every possible topic and musical genre. Even their middling entries would still be the envy of the YouTube parody culture from which Bloom emerged. The season-one subplot about Greg overseeing romantic intrigue at the grocery store was a bit of a space filler as it is, and though it only clocks in about 45 seconds, this grocery-themed acoustic tune still feels agonizingly long. Is this a much bigger issue in Southern California?

A phenomenal book. As a coach, I urge you to encourage your athletes to read this book.

I don't understand. It's time to get your ass out of my house I don't care where you go I just want you to know You've got to get your ass out of my house Seriously Why do you still live with me? Year after year You're always here So let me be clear I want you to disappear Just in case you had any doubt It's time to get your ass out. And please just get your ass out of my house 'Cause I'm not in the mood To keep on buying your food Good God, just get your ass out of my house My church friends think it's a shame They say my son is so lame. You can sleep in the park You can sleep on a bus You can live anywhere As long as it's not with us Thanks to your feet, this house smells like sauerkraut So my dear child, get your ass out.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

The acclaimed show snagged co-creator and star Rachel Bloom a Golden Globe for best actress in a television series - comedy in January for her portrayal of Rebecca Bunch, a lawyer who impulsively moves cross-country to West Covina, Calif. Out now, the digital release -- tagged Season 1-Volume 1 -- features 25 songs spanning the first nine episodes of the CW series. A second volume will come out following the end of season 1 this spring. With several episodes in the season still to air, those involved hope the soundtrack will serve as not only a thank you to the show's devoted fan base, but also bring more viewers to the show, which has struggled in the ratings, despite great reviews. Most of the songs are already available online and for sale individually, but Schlesinger says, "We wanted to compile them all in a way that's easy to find in one place. Schlesinger, who was nominated for an Oscar for co-writing the punchy title track to 's That Thing You Do, approached longtime colleague Jason Linn, senior VP of WaterTower, about putting out the music. Since the soundtrack includes a number of previously unreleased demo versions, the collection is a way for fans to "see how they went from demo to fully produced songs," says WaterTower Music online marketing manager Rocco Carrozza. It's quite the process to get to the "fully-produced songs," especially since they have to be completed before shooting begins. Schlesinger, Dolgen, Bloom and the show's co-creator Aline Brosh McKenna met to discuss the arc of several upcoming episodes.

Apr 8, - The original music in The CW's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend written by the songwriting team of “Get Your Ass Out of My House” (season 3, episode 8).

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has never been the most popular show on television, but it has undoubtedly had some of the best, and weirdest, musical numbers. Over four seasons, creators Rachel Bloom and Aline Brosh McKenna delivered a show that never shied from doing something different. And it pulled off the impressive feat of portraying mental illness—in particular borderline personality disorder—through musical-comedy. Of course, not all the extravagant, outrageous, belly-laugh-inducing original songs in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend —written by Bloom along with Jack Dolgen and Adam Schlesinger —had a higher social purpose.
